Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 series, launched globally to eager fans

Xiaomi, a global manufacturer of smartphones and smart home devices, announced today the next generation of Redmi Note devices. During a press event today, the company announced the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5 G, Note 11 Pro, Note 11S and Note 11 series devices. These devices are the latest in the series of devices from Xiaomi that have been well regarded as some of the most anticipated devices of 2022 from the Chinese manufacturer.

What makes the Redmi Note 11 series so special?

The Redmi Note 11, inherited some of the most impressive features and hardware from the previous generations of the Redmi Notes of the past. Further, the series also boasts some of the lowest introductory prices of smartphones in this class and doesn’t compromise in terms of performance.

As far as the Redmi Note 11 Pro is concerned, its closest competitor is the Samsung Galaxy A72. Comparatively, the Note 11 Pro, features nearly double the pixel density in terms of camera, 30Hz faster displays and 67W charging out of the box. All of those improvements in specs come in contrast to the price of the device which is nearly half the cost of the A72 starting at $299 with 6+64GB.

Hasn’t the Redmi 11 already been announced?

You would be right in guessing that Xiaomi has previously announced the availability of the Xiaomi Note 11 devices. The previous announcements for Redmi Note 11 devices, were “T-series” devices that launched in markets like China/India. Those devices are tweaked versions of the devices compared to the devices that were announced today all of which have stronger specs and features comparatively. The devices today are designed/made for international markets.

Is the Redmi Note 11 a good deal?

Something has to be said for the value that Redmi brings to the table. In an era where smartphones are priced in generally well-above $1000USD, it’s unusual to see many flagship or similar devices diverge much from that realm. Xiaomi’s devices, however, don’t even come close in terms of price yet sport sometimes similar features or are even better value. Here is the price list for the devices announced today:
