As Canada’s largest annual exhibition for renovation solutions and design inspiration, the National Home Show in Toronto is your ultimate source for household innovation. The event is currently underway at the Enercare Centre (Exhibition Place) in Toronto, Ontario, and runs until March 15th.

Bringing bespoke wellness to the modern home, this Hamilton-based company crafts made-to-order traditional and infrared saunas. They blend local and international quality by pairing premium BC-origin lumber with authentic Finnish heaters. With completely customizable exterior designs and a wide range of materials, they cater to diverse tastes and budgets. The company has a Hamilton showroom wherer you can see their work in person, with custom builds pricing out between $8,000 CAD and the mid-$30,000 CAD mark. The company’s top selling product is thier “Panoramic View Barrel Sauna” which offers a stunning rear glass window and starts at $12,141 CAD.
BTRTec Next-Gen Entry Systems

If you are looking for the perfect intersection of modern convenience and uncompromised safety, Markham-based BTRTec is a vendor worth watching. This emerging company is shaking up the market by bringing high-end security upgrades to the everyday smart lock. Instead of relying on a standard deadbolt, BTRTec secures your home using a fortified multi-bolt system. They pair this robust physical security with the user-friendly features, allowing you to access your home via facial recognition, Apple HomeKit, or simply by walking up with their proximity unlock feature.

Sometimes the smallest upgrades make the biggest impact. Proving that you don’t need a full remodel to refresh your space, Spartan Kitchen Products was on hand to demonstrate a clever range of culinary gadgets to bring a new level of efficiency to your kitchen routine. Based in Calgary, AB, Spartan’s line of gadgets like The Spartan Peeler, Shredder, the Slicer were designed to be infinitely sharp and fully ergonincally functional for both left and right handed users.

It was refreshing to see a diverse lineup of emerging brands like Saltwinds Coffee Company, Dalton White Farms and Hanes Humus. They might not be national giants yet, but their incredible ingenuity and entrepreneurial drive showcase the true spirit of the show, bringing a vibrant and welcoming energy to the event.
