Fable 2: Xbox 360 PDF Print E-mail

Simply put, this far surpassed our expectations. Compared to the first game, the story line in the plot has a lot more depth. You actually get to play and work with your sister in the beginning, and you now have a lot more to do as a child than before.

Environments/ Graphics
Though graphics and design at the NPC’s as well as the players, seem to have not been improved too much, the overall game seems to be more polished. The environments are extremely improved as well as the texture and playability. Rather than just following a beaten path, surrounded by bushes and invisible barriers, you can explore more vastly and most importantly: swim. Standing on top of a high-point in the wilderness is breath taking. The trees and the grass look almost completely realistic as well as the water/sky is stunning. This combined with the ability to explore anywhere makes the overall playing experience much, much more satisfying.

Action/Combat
In Fable 2, the combat is quite similar to that of the first game; however with an extreme add-on to combat: guns. This addition significantly improves combat and allows gamers to pull some awesome cinematic looking moves. Designers of the game also added some additional camera/cinematic effects by integrating the use of slow-motion manoeuvres. The combination of these elements makes combat not only more interesting to engage in, but makes the overall experience polished.

Note: Some users may be offended by the use of guns. Developers have NOT eliminated the practical use of bows in this game.

Summary
Overall we were very satisfied with this game. Though they could have done much to improve the character graphics and expanded the story line, the game was excellent.
